Ursula Williams is currently a Community Services Director for Turning Point, a domestic violence residential and nonresidential program in Southern Indiana which serves 12 counties.  She provides direct services to victims not desiring shelter as well as community connections. 

 

Her passions are collaboration and social change promoting safety for survivors of domestic violence.  She also acts as a self employed consultant/monitor for a batterers intervention program which serves men and women.  She herself is a domestic violence survivor who experienced a journey thru the New York Legal System in 1993-1997. 

 

She exhibits her leadership skills by challenging the system and is involved in working groups striving to eliminate domestic violence in her community.  Her experience in crisis intervention, strength based case management, supervising staff and public speaking offers her the ability to maintain her passion and encourage community change.

 

She received her degree from Indiana University and was certified by the Iowa School of Social Work as a family development specialist.  She lives by the motto “Dare to take the journey that begins where the path ends."
